About Le Franc-Parler

During the school year (from September until June), the Association Francophone de la Vallée publishes, once a month, its newsletter : Le Franc-Parler.  This publication is aimed at French-speaking individuals, partners and organizations in the Annapolis Valley and elsewhere in Nova-Scotia.
This newsletter allows the AFV to provide information on the various activities organized during the year and on what is going on in the organization and in the community.

How to participate :

You can use this newsletter to announce your special events, to call for volunteers, to post job offers, to show your achievements or for any other kind of relevant content concerning the French-speaking community.  Send us your ideas and your interests, the account of an activity, a piece of personal writing or more !

Editorial Policy

Here are a few guidelines to help you when writing articles for Le Franc-Parler.  This policy exists to ensure that the newsletter fulfills its mandate, that is, to offer quality information and appropriate content to the readers.

 

  • The articles must be of interest to the members of the French-speaking community of Annapolis ;
  • The articles must contain a maximum of 400 words ;
  • All the articles in the newsletter must be published in French, using proper grammar and form ;
  • Normally, an article cannot published twice in two different editions ;
  • No advertisement or commercial texts will be published ;
  • No article with partisan, discriminatory or profane content will be published ;
  • The author of an article is responsible for the writing and the quality of their French grammar ;
  • The AFV is in no way responsible for the words, opinions or statements expressed by the author of an article ;
  • Photographs and logos are accepted to support an article ;
  • The author of an article may suggest a particular layout for their text, but the AFV has the final say on the layout and organization of the newsletter ;
  • The AFV is responsible for enforcing the present policy.

 

Materials and original contents are the AFV’s intellectual property. The use or reproduction of any text contained in Le Franc-Parler without the AFV’s permission is strictly forbidden.
